Processing and Shipping
We ship from a variety of locations, depending on the item. Items stocked at the warehouses in Germany and the US will generally be shipped within 5 work days.
Please read the product description carefully for custom-made or custom-ordered items, such as inflatable pillows, air mattresses, dakis and blankets. Fulfillment for these may take several weeks and the fulfillment status on the order page will only change one the order has been shipped to the recipient.
Tracking information (by email and on the order status page) will be provided only once the order is actually shipped to the recipient. We have no influence on the mail run times. Please check the respective postal providers' websites for information on mail run times.
Shipping methods
Shipping from the warehouse in Germany to all destinations except the US is generally by DHL or DPD. Shipping from Germany to the US may also be by UPS.
Shipping from the warehouse in the US to domestic and foreign destinations is by UPS or USPS only.
Shipping from dropshipping locations in China (inflatable body pillows, dakimakura) may use one of the following services: DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, EMS, ShungFen.
Items are generally shipped in plain shipping cartons. For larger orders, or bundles, the shipping may be in the original transport cartons with the factory markings.
Customs fees
Generally, no additional customs fees will be charged if you live in the US or the EU. Exceptions may be if, for example, an item is located in the US only and it is shipped to the EU. Extra customs and duties may also be collected for dropshipping orders, such as dakimakura or blankets. Non-US and Non-EU orders generally have to expect to pay duties and tariffs consistent with their national customs regulations.
Parcels shipped internationally by UPS include UPS's brokerage services as part of the customs fees and process. If a customer chooses to override UPS's customs clearance process to perform it themselves, shipping will no longer be refundable in the event of a returned parcel. Any extra fees and the cost of re-sending the parcel as a result of manual customs clearance will be the responsibility of the customer prior to re-sending the parcel or deducted from a refund.
Split shipments
If your shipping cost as checkout is unusually high, then it may be that the items in your order are being shipped from several locations. Please check the product descriptions for the item's stock location.
